    BIO

I currently volunteer my time to the sport of disc golf in the Polk County community for numerous efforts. I find and return lost discs at multiple courses. I founded our board of directors, wrote our by-laws and file our club taxes each year. I have attended and regularly host our board meetings. I run multiple weekly events and have at some point run every event we host as a club. I have been the TD or assistant TD for C and B tier tournaments put on by the club. I am one of our clubs uDisc ambassadors and regularly update our layouts at Loyce and move baskets as needed. I am the main point of contact with our city and county administrators on behalf of our club. I worked with city administrators to design and build our two smallest courses as well as assisted with the build of Loyce B pins and the build of the Peace River course. Finally, I attend as many work-day events and regularly change the trash bags at Loyce and help.maintain our courses. Oh, and my wife (disc golf widow as she puts it) has high aspirations of serving as First Lady for another term.\n\nI love disc golf obviously but I truly love our community and all of the new friends I have made over the years. I do not plan to stay in this role for multiple years, I would like to groom some of the other players and board members to take on this role as we need new views, opinions and direction to continue the our growth of our sport. • Caleb Henson

    Vice President

    BIO

I am currently involved in growing the sport with the club by helping out with tournaments such as Polk County charity open and local leagues and events. I also help with work parties and try to give my best input as far as course development and maintenance items. I am Also the current captain of the war team for the second year in a row and help coordinate our club for the matchplay war event that happens every year on a cross club platform. One of the main things that I would like to see happen is more local fun tournaments such as ace race, par two challenge or the trilogy challenge. This helps bring in new players and also helps raise funds that would go back to helping support the local club. One of my biggest strong suits is coordination and organization, which I can help bring that to the table for the club board. Thanks for reading, the consideration and the vote Caleb

    Maintenance

    Advisor

    BIO

"I have been a key person in the design, build, and maintenance of the Hidden Oaks and Peace River courses, and have organized a number of work days for the various courses around the county. Over the last year, I have been an assistant to Patrick, the current Maintenance Director. For the coming year, my plans are to do finalizing work on the Peace River course so that it is in excellent condition for the next PCCO (and hopefully Pro players). Also to assist with gettin ghte beginner pads in at Hidden Oaks, for the course to be ready for events like an Ace Race, Prodigy Par 2 Challenge, and especially a Matt Eady Memorial event. I believe that people that have worked with me have found me to hold to my ideas firmly, but with an open mind and the ability to change my thinking when a good idea is presented."
